We are offering an exclusive 2/1 mortgage rate buydown on select Townhomes and Condos, saving buyers 2% on their mortgage rate in the first year, and 1% on the rate in the second year. This 2/1 mortgage is available to buyers in these communities that use our preferred lender First Colony Mortgage and close on a select multi-family home before the end of 2023.
As mortgage rates have climbed there are options to help people save money including a 2/1 mortgage rate buydown. With this type of mortgage, buyers lock into a current mortgage rate, but for the first year that rate is reduced by 2%, and in the second year the rate is reduced by 1%. Then beginning in the third year of the mortgage, the rate will be the original locked-in rate.
