Whether you have kids who are excited or you are just as thrilled for the holiday to arrive, this easy DIY craft makes for a fun time when getting ready for Christmas. This advent calendar is unique as it's a garland and can be placed on your fireplace mantel, entryway wall, or hung on a door depending on where it works best in your home. Need:

• Letters + Cards 
• Hole Puncher
• Holiday String
• Decorative Garland 
• Marker
• Scissors 

Instructions:

• Organize the stack of 25 letters + cards. Label the letters by # to 25. 
• Write on each blank card a festive activity, event, or service (examples below).
• Place cards inside a letter.
• Hole punch the top corner of the letter. 
• Add string through the hole and tie to the garland from 1 to 25. 
• Hang the garland where you'll remember to open one letter each day. 
• Open up a letter with the designated day and do the activity!
