Looking for a simple treat to make leading up to Easter? A treat that you and your kids or friends can make together on a sunny day? We've got just the recipe! A twist on the original Chex mix recipe to suit the Easter holiday, called Bunny Bait. No oven baking is involved and only the use of your microwave is needed. This is an easy treat to snack on by the handfuls or pack away for a quick treat at work. Grab your favorite Easter candy to get started!

Items you'll need: 

• 6 cups corn Chex cereal
• 6 cups Frosted Cheerios cereal
• 1 pound vanilla almond bark 
• 1 package of mini marshmallows
• A few packages of Easter candy (we chose Easter M&Ms and Hershey's mini white chocolate eggs) 
• Optional: Easter sprinkles 
• 2 mixing bowls 
• Mixing spoon 
• Wax paper
• Cookie sheet

Instructions: 

• Prep the cookie sheet with wax paper for the Chex mix. 
• In a large mixing bowl, add 6 cups of corn Chex cereal and Frosted Cheerios cereal. Mix together. 
• Break up the pound of vanilla almond bark and put in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute. 
• Mix the vanilla almond bark until melted. You may need to place it in the microwave for another 30 seconds.
• Pour over the cereal mix and mix together. 
• Place on the cookie sheet with wax paper and press down with a mixing spoon to even it out. 
• Before it cools down, sprinkle the mini marshmallows and Easter candy over the mixture that way they will stick together. 
• You're welcome to add Easter sprinkles onto the Chex mix, but this is optional. 
• Let cool for about an hour before serving. 
• Enjoy! Break apart and place in a bowl for sharing or in plastic bags to save for later.
