A kitchen that displays a modern and welcoming nature is a kitchen we adore most. That's why we wanted to share with you this homebuyer's kitchen in our Pendleton home design. It showcases an inviting element with a modern appeal that we can't get enough of. They chose a few unique design features to the space that are quite refreshing, from the blue paint to black hardware, and also stuck to some classic features, from the neutral shades and white countertops. Take a look at this kitchen as we've included the design selections they chose to create this beautiful kitchen.
Perimeter Cabinets - Paint Grade Repose Gray SW7015 | Island Cabinets - Paint Grade Slate Tile SW7624 | Perimeter Countertops - Granite Moonlight | Island - Quartz Miami White
The gray shade of the perimeter cabinets look sleek against the white walls of the home by creating just enough contrast without being too bold. A subtle color to cabinets can complement the living space and give it a bit of dimension without being distracting. If you're looking to add a unique touch to your kitchen, consider switching up the countertop styles for the island and perimeter ones. These homebuyers made a creative choice to put granite along the perimeters and quartz on the island. They coordinate beautifully as the white and gray shades of the quartz are also in the granite countertops. When you pick two countertops, make sure they work with each other by featuring a similar color scheme.

Tile Backsplash - Subway Emser Choice White Gloss Bevel 3x6 Wall Gloss White
The tile backsplash is classic to this kitchen. If you didn't already know, subway tile has been trending for quite some time now as it's a very classic and easy tile that pairs nicely with just about any design style you may choose for your kitchen. Not only seen in the kitchen but also in bathroom showers as it's relatively easy to clean.
Island Cabinets - Paint Grade Slate Tile SW7624 | Island - Quartz Miami White
Why stick with the same color of cabinets as the surrounding ones when you can mix things up and make a statement to your kitchen by adding in a pop of color? That's what the homeowners did and they excelled at pairing a cool-toned blue with the neutral gray cabinets. This blue looks beautiful to the kitchen and creates a fun focal point. The white countertops keep the kitchen looking classic against the blue island, while the granite and surrounding cabinets complement each other. Did you notice the black hardware? The hardware design is sleek and also matches the more modern design style.
