Welcome to another post to our Get the Look Series, showcasing the gorgeous design selections to our model homes. This series is here to help you gain the design inspiration from our model homes, by learning about the design selections chosen for each. We'll not only be creating posts featuring the exterior and interior design selections for each model home, like our previous post on The Madison model home, but we'll also be highlighting on some of the rooms. Also, never hesitate to ask one of our agents and designers any questions you may have, as they'll be able to go more in-depth about what design selections we currently have to offer and any recommendations best suited for you and your family's needs.
The St. George Parade of Homes 2022 occurred a week ago and we were thrilled to have participated by featuring our brand new model home, The Ponderosa. This model home truly came together to create a gorgeous desert modern design that we are proud of. It features 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, and a 3 car garage with a spacious kitchen, open to below loft space, grand entry, and gorgeous owner's bathroom. View the floor plan layout on the home design page here. See below for design selection details.

Sticking with a classic white paint for most of the interior, the overall home keeps a pretty neutral feel throughout with fun pops of neon colors in the decor styled by Copperhaus design firm. We highly suggest keeping most of your living space in neutral and lighter shades of paint and using the bolder hues in smaller rooms to test them out, such as the powder bath and laundry room in case you change your mind about the color. Neutrals also make it easier to coordinate and complement with as there is more of a selection of furniture and decor that will work with the shades. The gray trimmed doors add a subtle element to the space without taking away from the grand living room.

The most fascinating tile in the home would have to be the penny tile in the owner's bathroom. A common theme we noticed in the other homes at the parade was bringing the tile into the shower from the bathroom to create a steady flow of flooring. Another favorite tile feature of ours was the kitchen backsplash which showcases a few natural tones that really give a great accent to the kitchen and complement the cabinets. The kitchen backsplash integrates both the cabinet color and countertop shade to pull the whole kitchen design together and we couldn't have been happier with how it turned out. A variety of tile was shown throughout the space, with the great room fireplace taking center stage by creating a stunning focal point to the main living space.

We noticed quite a few homes also featured light flooring in the main living space and for good reason. We also selected a light, slightly warm-toned flooring that carries from the entry to the kitchen space for a practical flow through the main floor. We're loving that the light wood floor is trending as it's easy to maintain and hides away any crumbs, unlike dark wood flooring which shows everything from dust to pet hair. We integrated open shelving along with classic cabinets for a modern touch to the kitchen that can be used to showcase decor, unique cups, or kept simple with a few cookbooks. You may have noticed the gorgeous gold accents in the hardware that give this space a more elevated look. The owner's suite turned out to be a stunning sanctuary for ultimate relaxation with a hint of fun from the printed curtains. From the ceiling to the dark wallpaper, this bedroom creates a unique modern feel without going overboard. The pendant lighting on each side of the bed completes the design look of this bedroom by giving it something special that's also trending in the design world.
