The Design Collections allow you to choose between a variety of home aesthetics to select the style that fits you best. As Madison Openshaw, Design Consultant at Visionary Homes, explains, “we’ve put a lot of time into making sure that they’re neutral, but also cater to people’s styles. We have a contemporary package, we have a nostalgic package that’s a little bit more traditional. You can bring in specific styles of couches and coffee tables while the foundational elements of their cabinets and flooring and countertops will bring it all together with your main style, the main aesthetic that speaks to you.”

The input of hundreds of homebuyers has influenced the curation of design elements, giving design experts the confidence that buyers will love each collection. Austrie Messer, Visionary Homes' Design Studio Manager, emphasized this when asked how reception has been so far. “We've been using these materials for some time, ensuring they are both well-loved and versatile,” she says. “We've taken the customer favorites and carefully curated cohesive palettes to make the design process smoother and more intuitive for our buyers, all while ensuring lasting appeal.”

Timeless Through All Trends

When curating the Design Collections, the designers considered how trends and homeowner tastes might change in future years. To solve this problem, they used neutral colors and timeless elements. “Keeping the base neutral allows you to switch out furniture and decor as your own style changes. That way, you don’t have to rip out cabinets five years down the road, you can just change out your decor and have that match,” Madison explains. She describes “warm, organic undertones throughout the whole space, wood cabinets either on the island or around the perimeter to bring that organic element back in, and keeping everything very neutral with white, off-whites, to keep that warm theme throughout. Then, people like to bring in color through their decor. That way your space can have its own personality while keeping the base neutral, allowing you to change throughout time without needing to renovate.”

Hailey Case, an experienced design consultant at Visionary Homes, assures that “the collections are professionally curated by designers who know where the trends have gone and where they are going. We have done the hard part and streamlined the hard decisions for you, with collections you know you will have the perfect balance.”

A Cohesive Aesthetic

One of the most eye-opening insights the designers shared about the collections was the way that various elements work together. Madison elaborated that “some details in the Design Collections that someone without design experience might not notice are the little details that help unify everything together. In our elevated package you’ll see white cabinets with a nice warm backsplash, and the brown color in the backsplash is tied in in the bathrooms, and so even if you don’t see them together, as you walk through the whole homespace, those two communicate and help tie in the whole home.”

In addition to creating a cohesive aesthetic, Austrie explains how the expertly curated collections can reduce stress for the buyer. “We’ve found that too many choices can lead to ‘decision fatigue.’ That’s why we’re confident these thoughtfully curated Design Collections will ease the stress by streamlining the process, allowing buyers to focus on the bigger picture without being overwhelmed by the small details.”

It’s not all ‘here’s everything, take it or leave it.’ You can still choose the overall feeling that you want in the space, such as, ‘I want a warm color palette in my home.’ You can still choose the finish package, you can still choose if you want certain features, but it has taken away all of the little details that you would normally have to worry about.
