We made a pie for pi day as a fun way to celebrate this day! We ended up following along Jonesin for Taste's No Bake Peanut Butter Pie recipe and only switched up a few little things for the finished product. This pie was definitely tasty! To all the chocolate peanut butter lovers, this is the pie to make for satisfying your peanut butter cravings. Luckily, it's a simple recipe and doesn't require baking in order to make it. Just chill it in the fridge for about an hour before eating it to solidify the peanut butter filling. Find the ingredients and instructions below to create your own and enjoy with your family or friends this weekend!
INGREDIENTS:
For the crust
- 30 Oreos
- 6 Tbsp melted butter
For the peanut butter filling
- 2 cups whipped cream or heavy cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 cup melted butter
- 2 cups peanut butter
For the chocolate ganache
- 1/2 cup heavy whipped cream
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Topping
Reese's chopped up pieces on top
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Start with making the crust by placing 30 oreos into a food processor. Blend and add 6 Tbps of butter. Blend again.
2. Press into pie pan. Set aside.
3. For the pie filling, hand mix 2 cups peanut butter, 1 cup melted butter, 2 cups heavy whipping cream, and 1 cup powdered sugar.
4. Pour into pie pan. Set aside.
5. For the chocolate ganache, heat up in microwave 1 cup chocolate chips and 1/2 cup heavy whipped cream. Mix together until melted and pour over pie.
6. Add chopped up Reese's cups to top of pie. Chill in fridge for about an hour.
7. Serve and enjoy!
