Logan, UT — August 14, 2025 — Visionary Homes, in partnership with the City of Logan, has officially broke ground on River Crossing, a new affordable townhome community designed to expand access to homeownership for income-qualified households in Cache Valley.
Located at 100 West 600 South in Logan, River Crossing will consist of eight thoughtfully designed town homes, all designated for prospective homebuyers earning below the area median income. The project marks a key milestone in local efforts to create attainable housing solutions through collaboration between public and private sectors.
“This is a small project, just eight townhomes, but it’s a big step,” said Barrett Nelson, Chief Growth Officer of Visionary Homes. “These homes are designed specifically for income-qualified households. This is about creating real opportunity for those who need it most.”
The groundbreaking ceremony brought together Visionary Homes’ leadership, Mayor Holly Daines, Logan City officials, local trade partners, and members of the community. Attendees enjoyed seasonal treats from a local eatery, witnessed a fun ground breaking shovel ceremony, and learned more about the homes, the site plan, and the broader vision for River Crossing.
“I want to thank Mayor Daines and the City of Logan for their unwavering support,” said Nelson. “A special thanks to our trade partners, the Visionary team, and Bryce Goodin, who worked tirelessly with the city to bring this project to life.”
Built on land generously donated by the City of Logan, River Crossing highlights the power of partnership in addressing Utah’s housing shortage.

A Model for Future Housing Solutions
As Utah faces continued housing pressure, River Crossing offers a replicable model for other municipalities across the state. With home prices expected to be significantly below market rate, the development aligns with Visionary Homes’ core mission to “edify,” to lift and improve the lives of those they serve. “We talk a lot about our values: family, craftsmanship, ownership, integrity, and humility,” said Nelson. “You’ll see those values in every detail of this community.”
As construction progresses, Visionary Homes will share more details about the availability and qualification process for prospective buyers. The homes will be sold to qualifying applicants through a lottery process managed in partnership with the City of Logan. More details will be released soon.
