Welcome back to our blog series, Designer Highlight, where we ask our designers 10 questions to get to know them! How are you liking the designer series? We hope you're getting to know the designers a bit and that you'll look forward to meeting your assigned designer as a homebuyer. This week, we have Austrie M., she's our Design Studio Manager in St. George! Did you know we have a brand new design studio to St. George?! Austrie says "Being a part of the Parade of Homes by assisting with the finish selections was exciting! I really loved the contrasting cabinets in the kitchen and the countertop."
After graduating with my Bachelors in Interior Design, I worked in Vegas doing high end residential design. My favorite project I worked on was the penthouse at the Waldorf Astoria on the LV strip.

I grew up in a home attached to a dance studio, so music and dance has always been a huge part of my life.
Movie nights, dill pickles, road trips, Indian food, and baseball games.
My sisters! They’re a great reminder to me to work hard, be confident, and never settle for anything less than you deserve.

Go to Italy for the architecture, stay by the ocean, and eat gelato for every meal!
Be confident in your design decisions. Don’t be persuaded by what other people think your home should like. If you love it, go for it!
Stenciled patterns along the top of your walls.
Use bold décor such as large ceramic vases, colorful art, and lots of plants.
I gravitate towards Mid Century Modern for their streamlined furniture, sculptural light fixtures, and most of all, colorful pop art.
