Easy Homemade Halloween Treats

Easy Homemade Halloween Treats

October 29, 2021

We've been sharing a few Halloween decor tips and tricks on our Instagram and now we'll be breaking down each one here on the blog.

It's the last week of our Halloween series we've had on our Instagram! Have you been following along? We've shown ideas and inspiration for home decor, front porch decor, and now Halloween treats. It's been lots of fun sharing with you all holiday prepping ideas and hope you enjoyed it as well. Look below for more details on each of our Instagram REELs posted this week of Halloween treats.

Spiderweb Chocolate Pretzels

This treat has been trending on Tik Tok and for good reason! It's both tasty and cute, creating the perfect snack for your Halloween party coming up. We would suggest using chocolate chips or chunks instead of frosting (we used frosting and it wouldn't come off of the wax paper). Lesson learned!

Items you'll need:

  • Pretzel Sticks
  • Chocolate Chips (dark, milk, white)
  • Halloween Sprinkles
  • Cookie Wax Paper

Instructions:

Break four pretzels into eight and spread out onto cookie wax paper. Start in the center of the pretzel and 'glue' together with melted chocolate. Swirl the chocolate around to make the web design. You can use a plastic bag and cut the end of it to squeeze out the chocolate. Add sprinkles to them and put them in the freezer or fridge to cool. Place all of them in a bowl for serving to friends or family at your Halloween party.

Nutter Butter Ghosts

As you can see, we've collected up a few really easy Halloween treats, perfect for snacking on during your Halloween party. These were made by Kimberly, a Utah Instagram creator who creates fun lifestyle content as a mom. She and her daughter did such a great job at making these and showing us all how you can have your kids help you make these simple, delicious treats.

Items you'll need:

  • Nutter Butters
  • White Chocolate Chips
  • Googly Eyes
  • Parchment Paper

Instructions:

Melt the white chocolate, then dip half of the crackers in the chocolate. Place on parchment paper and add the googly eyes on. Let sit or place in the fridge until dried. Serve on a Halloween charcuterie board along with all your holiday snacks and treats.

Caramel Apple Bites

Caramel apples are such a staple Halloween treat, but also can be really messy and take precious time. These caramel apple bites simplify the process and make it better for kids to help you make them for an afternoon snack or for giving out to your neighbors. We love this idea we found off of Pinterest and they were quite tasty! The little girl loved being the taste tester. Did you see her face at the end of the video? The sweetest.

Items you'll need:

  • Apples
  • Caramel Sauce
  • Chocolate Sauce
  • Little Candies such as Reese's Pieces, Chocolate Chips, and Sprinkles
  • Cupcake Pan
  • Cupcake Baking Cups
  • Candy Apple Sticks

Instructions:

Place cupcake baking cups into the cupcake pan. Fill each one with the assorted dipping sauces and candy pieces. Cut apple into slices and push a candy apple stick into each for easy dipping. Dip the apple in the sauces first and then into the candies and sprinkles. Enjoy! You can place them on a plate or wax paper to dry or eat them on the spot.
