This owner's bathroom to a Cutler spec home was designed with simple and modern elements for an overall stunning, spa-like appearance, by our Central Division Professional Design Consultant, Maddie. Our designer wanted to appeal to buyers with an interest in a mix of minimalist and modern interior styles. The bolder, teal penny tile brings a modern appeal to the other simple design features in the home and creates a spa-like aesthetic that's both inviting and relaxing. We will be sharing the design selection details below, so whether you're in the consideration process or currently building your new home, you can gain design inspiration for your home.
Cabinets and Countertops

White cabinets and countertops have been trending for quite some time now and for good reason, as they create a clean and simple palette to work with. White cabinets and countertops can work for just about any design style you prefer, as neutrals complement just about any colors and textures you want to be added to your bathroom. For example, if you're wanting darker tile and hardware accents for a modern bathroom style, white cabinets and countertops pair beautifully as a contrast. Or, if you want a bold tile with a pattern, white cabinets and countertops allow for the tile to become the focal point. They are just overall versatile, with the only downside being that they need to be kept quite clean as any dust or dirt will show up.

Why pick only neutral design features for your owner's bath when you can opt for one tile, preferably the tile strip to the shower and flooring, to mix things up a bit? The shade of color pairs well with all the neutral shades and truly gives this bathroom a calming feel that anyone would love in their home. Yes, you could go for silver hardware and lighting features, but if you choose black instead, you'll be making more of a statement without worrying about the style becoming outdated. Black accents in the design world don't seem to be going anywhere soon and we love the contrast it creates against the lighter shades of design features. Are you team metallic or black for hardware?

The larger flooring tiles also lay the foundation for the smaller design elements such as the penny tile and hardware features to complement each other. Mixing lighter tile with the darker flooring tile in this bathroom prevents it from looking bland and boring and makes the room feel light and airy. The name of the tile also happens to match the design style our designer was going for, simple and modern.
